FAQs

The Hive was designed to open a two-way conversation between young people and the government.

The Hive looks like something I’d love to be part of! What can I do if I want to become a Hiver?

We’re always keen to hear from more potential Hivers! We have regular recruitment rounds for The Hive each year. Let us know if you’re keen and we’ll make sure you’re on our database to let you know when the call goes out!

I’m a decision-maker with a project I reckon The Hive might be a perfect fit for but I’ve got some questions it would be good to chat through first. How can I do that?

We’d love to hear more about what you’ve got in mind and we’re always happy to have a kōrero about how our process can work to fit your needs. Flick us a message on our contact page.

I want to work with The Hive as a decision-maker. Where should I start?

If you haven’t already, check out some more info on our processes here, then get in touch on our contact page.

How are members of The Hive selected?

Each season we recruit a new rōpū of young people via our social media and community networks. We select each season looking to get a diverse rōpū of lived experiences, identities and location across Aotearoa to help amplify the voices of taiohi.

How is The Hive funded?

Currently, The Hive is funding by the Ministry of Youth Development, and run by the creative social change agency, Curative.
